CareGivers is looking for a full-time Assistant Administrator/ RN Supervisor to join our home care team in the Capital region (would be willing to consider part time for the right candidate). This is a multi-faceted role: You would be based out of our Schenectady NY office, conducting branch managerial duties, but you’ll also travel within Schenectady, Albany, and Saratoga Counties to perform client assessments and field staff supervisions as needed. Home care experience preferred, but not required.
Job Opening: Assistant Administrator/RN Supervisor
Location: Schenectady, NY
Status: Full Time (would be willing to consider part time for the right candidate)
Rate: $36.00 – $40.00 per hour (depending on experience)
DUTIES: Assisting the Branch Administrator with management duties, including motivating the team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring customer satisfaction; focusing on community/referral source relations and outreach; and assisting with HR functions including recruiting/motivating/retaining local staff.
RN Supervisor duties include: ensuring that home care clients served by the company receive the highest quality care through the ongoing evaluation of client needs and employee performance. This position is responsible for the performance or delegation of initial evaluation of client needs, writing a realistic goal oriented plan of care, and supervising its implementation. The RN Supervisor is responsible for supervising the implementation of the physicians’ plan of treatment, coordinating the total care plan with appropriate resources, conducting periodic reassessments of client needs, revising the plan of care, and monitoring employee performance. The RN Supervisor may also be responsible for training and providing in-services for home care staff as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in New York State, with at least one year experience as a professional nurse (current experience preferred).
- Six months of supervisory experience or one year of experience in home care is preferred, but not required.
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
- Knowledge of home health regulations is preferred.
- Must have strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
- Must meet health requirements.
- Must have reliable vehicle and valid drivers license – travel to client homes is part of the job. Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of our Schenectady NY office.
