CareGivers is looking for a per diem RN Supervisor to join our team in Johnson City NY. This is not your typical nursing job. You’ll travel to client homes within our service territory, performing staff supervision/on the job training in client homes, and conducting client assessments.

This is the perfect opportunity for a retired RN that still wants to make a difference in their community. Or for an RN looking to work around school schedules. Per Diem hours offer great flexibility!

Job Opening: RN Supervisor
Branch: Johnson City, NY (Binghamton)
Status: Per Diem, guaranteed a minimum of 10 hrs/week but could be up to 15 hours per week, primarily weekday daytime hours, flexible scheduling based on client/field employee schedules

Rate: $33.00 – $36.00 / hour, depending on experience & availability

Reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license are a must for this position.

DUTIES:  Responsible for ensuring that home care clients served by CareGivers receive the highest quality care by ongoing assessment of the client, supervising the implementation of the physician’s plan of treatment, developing a plan of care and evaluating client needs and employee performance.  View job description »

Additional duties may include med setups for clients, and performing insurance assessments.

If you have at least one year of home care nursing experience, you would also have the opportunity to train home care staff through our NYSDOH approved training program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be a Registered Nurse currently licensed in New York State, with at least one year experience as a professional nurse (current experience preferred).
  • Six months of supervisory experience or one year of experience in home care is preferred.
  • Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is required.
  • Knowledge of home health regulations is preferred.
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
  • Must meet health requirements.
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
