Our Canton, NY branch is currently looking for Personal Care Aides to work in Canton NY, Potsdam NY, Ogdensburg NY, and other towns throughout St. Lawrence County.  We also have work in Malone NY and Franklin County.  Not a certified PCA?  No problem – we’re now enrolling qualified applicants in our Free Personal Care Aide training class, details below!

PCA Training Class – Free
Dates: Starting November 12  – we will tailor the remainder of the class schedule to fit the needs of the majority of those interested in the class. The class is a total of 56 hours and might be scheduled in full days or half days depending on the availability of participants. Home care jobs offer great flexibility, so we want to ensure that our training classes can offer that flexibility as well!  Attendance is required on all scheduled days.

Location:  CareGivers Home Care, 19 Hodskin Street, Canton, NY 13617

  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Proof of immunizations required
  • Recent/current physical required
  • Minimum of 2 references required
  • Tuition for the class is free, you will not be paid for attending the class
  • If you successfully complete the course, you will be a New York state certified Personal Care Aide

Attendance on each day of the training class is required.  Those who complete the class with a passing grade, meet all health requirements, and successfully complete the hiring process will receive an offer for employment.  NOTE:  A criminal background check is conducted as part of the hiring process.  EOE/AA Disability/Veteran


Responsible for providing personal care, and supportive services which includes, but is not limited to assisting the client in activities of daily living, planning and preparing meals, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
